Key Committee Update: New House E&W Chairman

Republican leadership has selected the next Chairman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, the committee in the House that has jurisdiction over ERISA. Congressman Tim Walberg (R-MI) will lead the Committee in the next Congress. Mr. Walberg is a longtime member of both Education and Workforce and the Committee on Energy and Commerce. He has a long history of engagement on retirement issues, particularly with respect to investment advice and lifetime income. Mr. Walberg also was a keynote speaker at ERIC’s fall policy conference.
