The ERISA Industry Committee Supports CONNECT for Health Act

For Immediate Release

Washington, DC – The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) today announced its support for the Creating Opportunities Now for Necessary and Effective Care Technologies (CONNECT) for Health Act. ERIC believes the bill will reduce barriers to telehealth and increase access to telehealth services – pillars of ERIC’s telehealth initiative.

As the only nonprofit national association advocating solely for the employee benefit and compensation interests of the country’s largest employers, ERIC seeks to enhance the ability of our members to provide the best health care possible to their employees, retirees, and families at affordable costs.

“The ERISA Industry Committee chose to support the CONNECT for Health Act, because we believe this bill will bring real change to telehealth, increasing access while reducing barriers for both patients and providers,” said Annette Guarisco Fildes, president and CEO, ERIC. “ERIC welcomes Medicare’s increased support of telehealth, as it signals a recognition of the benefits and opportunities associated with telehealth, including cost savings and quality care.”
