Today, the IRS announced that employers can continue to use $6,900 as the HSA contribution limit for employees with eligible family health coverage in 2018. The IRS had reduced the limit after employers had already relied on the $6,900 number.
ERIC, along with 8 member companies, met with IRS & Treasury and asked for this. We also did a good deal of follow-up to help clarify to IRS that they had the authority, and that this was the right thing to do.
